Haugesund Subsea and Offshore Base, Killingøy

At the far end of Haugesund, just at the entrance to the city, is Haugesund Subsea and Offshorebase located. The base consists of companies like Equinor with its PRS pool, Saga Subsea, Deep Ocean and Olufsen Shipservice. These companies are leaders in the industry, which means that there is a lot of innovation going on at Killingøy. World records in operation on ever deeper waters are set, in line with the rapid development.

The Port of Karmsund owns and develops both buildings and land on Killingøy. During the past year there has been a significant development of the base. Point quays have been filled, and full quays have been worked up. It has been invested in shore power systems, and the entire base has been given a new lighting system, with led lights and smart control. Today, the base has 5 different quays, with plenty of room for the offshore fleet to access all the services they may need. This is how we as a port and landlord facilitate, so that our tenants can develop further.

Killingøy has been strategically built up over time, with a focus on getting establishments that complement each other, which provide synergies, and which increase the activity of each other. All the companies operating on Killingøy contribute to the cluster and benefit from being right here.
